Awesome indeed! It was a nice sunny morning at the park which is houses the Talking Garden. More than 20 participants ranging from babies, kids and their accompanying parents and staff from China Press, made a beeline to TREKS Nepenthes Conservatory in what was to be their first activity engagement of the day – getting a brief of pitcher plant conservation efforts by TREKS and RWGenting and a feel of transplanting some of the most Amazing Pitcher Plants of Genting Highlands.
We began the transplanting exercise with the younger kids and the planting design was the cluster-planting type with mixed size from the Nepenthes macfarlanei and Nepenthes sanguinea variants. The enthusiastic response from the kids added to the energy of the morning sun with parents and photographers alike getting into a frenzy for photographs and videos.
